What Richard stands for locally
...Real Local Democracy with genuine public participation
Reverse the cuts on the 7, 111, 45, 8 and other local bus routes – More public transport not less

Upgrade Loughlinstown & St Michael’s Hospital – Decent Health Care should be a right not a privilege.

Restore Dun Laoghaire Baths as a public swimming pool - Protect seafront amenities and local heritage - Stop wasting council money on consultants and elaborate plans.

Provide social housing and repair boarded-up council houses – End subsidies to landlords and developers.

Cut unemployment & improve local services by direct employment of workers for council maintenance and building work.

Abolish bin tax and no to water charges – Fund local government with a fair tax system based on income not stealth taxes that hurt those on lower incomes.

Directly elected mayors – Real democracy and public participation in local government and planning.

End the misuse of council funds and cap the salaries of the county manager and top officials at €100,000.

Provide adequate youth and community amenities – End Council neglect of areas such as Sallynoggin, Mounttown, Monkstown Farm and Dun Laoghaire Town.
